ASHLEY'S ARCHER was hustled, clearing and crossing over loose up top under a lively pace, got a slight breather down the backside in the second quarter with no challengers around to force the pace, rolled along smoothly on the final bend, skimmed the fence holding on up front in upper stretch, drifted out considerably in the final furlong but still was finding more to the finish line and prevailed for the wire to wire score. WELLER GREEN settled into a good rhythm galloping along at the back of the pack, took closer order narrowing the gap on the rail down the backstretch sharing the rear at the half, edged up inside of runners at the quarter pole, angled out four wide with aim on the frontrunner straightening out for home, closed in steadily in the final eighth of mile, could not get to the winner late and got up in deep stretch outside for the place share. GOLDEN TRUTH was content to let the leader set a brisk tempo up top while clearly in the second position around the first turn and throughout the backside, chased the winner in earnest coming under a ride at the quarter pole, still remained in the hunt having the two path down the lane, finished up willingly between horses in the final furlong but lost the duel for the runners up share nearing the wire. LOVER BOY MO sat isolated in midfield on the first of two turns, remained in mid-pack but between runners with the field bunching up at the half, came under a ride three wide inside another chasing the lead pair at the five sixteenths pole, was in with a chance for a small share still in the three path for the drive to the wire and finished up evenly inside of rivals in the final furlong to be a fringe player in the end. BLIND RIVER was forwardly placed watching the lead two runners for the first half of this two-turn event, could not quicken while hard ridden in tandem inside another letting the lead duo get away further at the five sixteenths pole, dueled for the show award just off the fence at the head of the lane but faded on the rail in the last sixteenth of a mile. AUTOBAHN ACE had the inside position stalking close to the back, made no movement two wide between runners around the final bend, shifted out in the four path in upper stretch but could not get involved lacking a rally in the stretch run. BELIEVEIN had a stalking trip on the outside ahead of one runner in the early stages, travelled three deep outside sharing the rear at the half, shifted to the three path outside runners at the three-furlong pole but was unable to keep up with inside rivals around the final bend, had little left turning for home and was not persevered with in the final furlong.
