Footnotes
TAP MY DESIRE settled in the middle of the pack in tight surroundings between rivals along the back straight, was shuffled back slightly lacking running room at the half, started to commence a run just off the rail at the five sixteenths pole, cut the corner gathering more momentum coming on at the top of the lane, shifted out to the two path with a sixteenth remaining having her sights set on the frontrunner and charging home late to get up in the last jump outside for the stretch running victory. ALEATORIC had the rail up top setting a moderate pace on the engine down the backstretch, was nursed along setting an even tempo on the fence around the bend with company bearing down outside with a quarter mile still left to go, shot away two wide at the top of the lane finding more when confronted, moved well still in control with a furlong to go but just could not find more in the shadow of the wire and got nabbed right on the line outside for the win. MRS. G tracked the pacesetter outside early on, moved in when forced to go by the outside rival coming with a run in midturn to fight between runners for the lead at the quarter pole, shifted to the three path very much in the mix between horses in upper stretch, was no match for the lead twosome who had it to themselves in the final eighth but did show grit to win the show money duel inside in deep stretch. DADDY'S THE BOSS was forwardly placed in the three path keeping a close eye on the lead two runners down the backside, closed in going three wide on the oval to bid outside two others for the front end at the quarter pole, remained in the thick of things still in the three path straightening out for home, evened out in the final furlong unable to threaten the lead duo at the furlong pole and lost out to an inside rival in the battle for the show money nearing the finish line. DEANNA stalked close to the back initially, was well in range seeing the field with the group tightly packed at the half, made a premature move swooping around horses for wide midway around the oval, loomed outside in the five path at the top of the stretch, could not sustain the rally and stalled at the furlong marker. MELODY MAKER was off a touch slow to begin, settled outside going five deep in a clustered bunch in midfield at the half mile pole, was hard ridden three wide just trying to keep up to runners on both sides throughout the turn and in the three path in the stretch drive lacked a rally in the final furlong. FINANCE IS SECURE broke a step slow trailing in the beginning, made an early move inside runners at the nine sixteenths pole to sit just back behind the frontrunner on the fence at the half, retreated on the rail steadily on the bend to be at the rear by midturn being used up down the backstretch trying to get forward position and did not have anything left to factor in the stretch drive.
