TIZ PRACTICAL had the two path in the middle of the pack with many runners at the half, was scrubbed on in midturn making little gain, started to get into gear three wide with aim on the embattled duo in upper stretch and wore down the lead pair in the stretch drive to get up late on the outside of the dueling pair for the stretch running win. HEADSPIN dueled on the inside down the back straight, had a slim lead throwing it down inside another on the bend setting a rapid pace, kept digging in holding on inside in the stretch drive, edged away from the early speed rival by the sixteenth pole but could not fend off the late charge by the winner outside in deep stretch, nonetheless a gutsy effort on the front end being second best on this day. FLYING SCHULZY broke inwards on the start, battled outside for the lead down the back straightaway, continued to throw it down outside the frontrunner in their own little match race around the turn under a brisk pace, shifted to the three path still fighting on between runners in the final furlong but needed more late faded slightly in deep stretch to be a clear third on the wrong end of a three way finish for the win at the wire. LIVE EACH DAY was in tight trailing at the break, improved inside rivals to sit in the middle of the pack with three outside foes at the half mile pole, could not get into gear on the turn only having one rival beaten, shifted to the three path at the top of the stretch, moved back inside at the furlong pole then angled out again four wide in the final sixteenth coming on to be a fringe [player in the end. GOLDEN SUNSET was in no hurry seeing the field at the half, lagged behind while travelling two to three wide around the bend, shifted to the five-path turning for home, moved to the inside two wide in the final furlong and passed a couple of weary foes in the late going. CHANELFORHER settled four deep outside runners in mid-division with a half mile remaining, travelled three wide but could not gain on the pair up front who had a private duel to themselves around the oval and gave way in the four path in upper stretch having little for the drive to the finish line. SMOLDERING had a head in front at the start leaving the chute, dropped back at the half to sit in midfield in the three path with horses on either side, came under a busy ride making no gain throughout the turn, swung out widest in the six path at the head of the lane but came up empty for the drive.
