REGAL MOMENT had the rail position sitting in the middle of the pack, shifted to the two path making no movement just galloping along rating kindly under a good hold between foes down the backside, was nudged to pick up the bit two wide at the quarter pole, found a seam three wide switching leads bursting between runners leaving the furlong pole and edged clear for the win ridden out at the finish line. BOUND TO BE TRUE tracked the pacesetter on the outside, took closer order moving in down the backstretch, bid for the lead outside with three eighths remaining, poked her head in front between foes at the furlong marker but could not withstand the winners late burst in deep stretch outside and gave way grudgingly in the final few strides. RETAIL THERAPIST was unhurried co-trailing on the outside initially, improved slightly outside foes down the backstretch by the half mile marker, continued to range up circling horses three wide on the final bend, shifted to the four path in the conversation turning for home, was outkicked in the late going for the top two spots but still ran on willingly to capture the show award at the wire. TANDHONEYWITHANE shared the rear on the inside on the first turn, could see the field along the backside, lagged at the back still in the running around the final bend, shifted off the leaders four wide turning for home and offered a good late run outside closing in sharply late for a minor award. STROKE OF GENIUS had a good spot drafting just back behind the pacesetter in the early stages, sat poised on the rail behind the engaged duo at the quarter pole waiting to make a run, had the fence in upper stretch just behind the leaders looking for room but when clear could not offer a finishing rally in deep stretch. WHISKEY N ICE assumed command just off the rail into the first of two turns, remained up top unchallenged slowing the tempo down along the backside, had company outside at the three furlong pole, dueled in the two path inside clinging onto the front end in upper stretch, could not find more in reserve late and folded on the fence in deep stretch.
