Footnotes
DE LA RENTA quickly moved clear, set the pace inside on or just off the rail well in hand and going easy, was asked in upper stretch, responded to hold sway while being kept to the task. KING'S COUNSEL chased the eventual winner from outside racing mostly three to four wide, could make no headway but was clearly second best. HOOPS switched out a bit heading up the backstretch racing close up between foes in the second flight, dropped back racing in behind and outside on the second flight, went three wide on the turn, kept on in the stretch to secure show honors. WHATTA MOVE chased from outside midpack up the backstretch, shifted in heading into the turn, saved ground inside, tipped out a path or two in the lane, was outfinished for third but best of the rest. LOADED DECK broke a step slowly and was strongly urged at the start, moved up to mid-pack chasing while off the inside, went in the three to four path on the turn, ran on evenly. CLASSY GUEST broke a bit awkwardly, switched out off the inside soon after, lacked early speed racing at the rear, moved out while moving between foes three to four deep past the quarter pole, came into upper stretch six wide moving out a further couple paths, ran on to improve. SARATOGA GOLD shifted in heading up the backstretch, raced two to three wide on the turn, was one-paced and made no bid. LAWRENCE THE GREAT bumped the inside foe at the start, shifted in early racing at the back, advanced inside foes at the rear saving ground on the turn, came out a bit in the stretch, failed to menace. KING KADOOMENT was bumped sideways at the start, was mostly two to four wide throughout racing about two to three deep through the turn, was never near enough to threaten. LORD YORKTON came in a bit at the start and was coaxed forward, took hold and switched outside the leader about the nine-sixteenths, chased that rival two to three wide, gave way. WISE WALKER broke awkwardly and was slow to gather, raced a bit greenly outside of rivals going four to five wide on the turn, dropped to last and shifted in once in upper stretch, tired.
