VINA ARANA (IRE) was allowed to settle at the back of the pack galloping along off the rail on the first of two turns, still could see the field along the backstretch, was nudged on the rail having a quick turn of foot response passing outside rivals sharply at the three eighths marker, glided between horses shifting out three wide at the five sixteenths marker coming with a brisk move, effortlessly took control four wide at the head of the lane and was kept to the task in the final furlong coasting home all alone at the finish line for the eye catching win. EQUITAS kept a close eye on the pacesetter while having runners on either side on the first turn, tracked the leader with an outside foe down the back straight while under a snug hold, had to wait on the rail in the far turn behind the pacesetter with outside foes getting the jump on her at the quarter pole, shifted to the three path for the drive to the wire but the winner was bursting away by mid-stretch and still finished up strongly nonetheless to best the rest for the runners up share albeit a distant second at the finish line. SULTANA had the fence position tracking the loose leader early on, sat all alone in midfield moving well along the backside, was roused four wide but could not match strides with the inside winner making a move at the five sixteenths pole and ran on mildly in the four path outside foes to get up in the late going for the third place share. BESSIE ABOTT (IRE) travelled three wide outside two others tracking the lone speed, settled in the second flight outside a fellow rival down the backstretch, moved in through the far turn vying between horses up top with a quarter mile still to run, could not sustain the rally in the stretch drive and evened out in the two path at the furlong pole to settle on the fringes in the end. FIERY LUCY (GB) had a stalking trip near the rear in the early stages ahead of only one runner who happened to be the eventual winner, closed to gap with a brief spurt three wide at the three-furlong pole outside rivals still at the back though, could not keep up to challengers on the far turn by the quarter marker but managed picked up a leg weary early frontrunner who ran out of steam in the final furlong. QUADRUPLE (GB) got to the lead from the outside post running keenly just off the fence into the first turn, continued to be headstrong even with the efforts of the rider trying to ration the early speed down the backside travelling loose up top under a brisk pace, had a slim advantage inside on the far turn, offered no resistance when the winner soared on by outside at the quarter pole, could not find more through the lane being used up from her early efforts and yielded to outside foes by the furlong pole.
