SHINING SILVER broke out on the start, seized control right from the get go bursting away down the backside, increased the lead rambling along quickening an already speedy pace around the oval, had a big advantage switching back to the incorrect lead when urged on right handed by the jockey at the furlong pole and won comfortably running them off their feet in a gate to wire tally. TOTALLY IN CHARGE Settled between challengers watching the loose frontrunner down the back straight, dropped back at the half having only one runner beaten, started to re-rally four wide on the outside at the quarter mile marker and closed in just getting up in the late going to be a distant second behind the overpowering winner. ORIENT BEACH travelled three deep outside a couple of rivals in the second tier well back of the runaway leader, tried to close the gap outside another on the pacesetter but to no avail around the bend, shifted just off the fence straightening out for home holding for the place share with the winner well ahead by the furlong marker but conceded dueling inside for the runners up share in deep stretch. OLIVIA'S MELODY was unhurried at the back of the pack in the early stages, started to gather more momentum shifting out off weakening foes three wide at the quarter pole, moved to the four path in upper stretch and ran on evenly through the drive but could not improve late and settled for a minor placing. SUNNYVILLE had the outside stalking near the rear, offered a mild run two wide between horses improving position briefly on the turn at the quarter marker, but could finish up the run and showed little in the stretch drive having the two path. SEEKING MAGIC was off a step slow on the break, recovered quickly to have an inside tracking position on the lone speed leader down the backstretch, chased the rapid pace in tandem with an outside foe but the winner was opening up at will throughout the turn and tired inside off runners at the quarter pole giving way on the fence at the top of the lane.
