Footnotes
GO FOR LAUNCH broke sharply and quickly moved clear, set the pace near the inside, was soon joined by an outside foe shadowing into and on the turn, shook clear in mid-stretch, had enough in reserve and held sway. ROYAL FOXTROT tracked the eventual winner from inside, tipped out in the stretch with aim, closed the gap but was only second best. EPIC AFFAIR chased near the inside, moved out four wide coming past the quarter pole, came out further in mid-stretch, ran on. ANY OSCAR lacked early speed, raced outside a foe into the turn, shifted to the rail midway on that bend, improved inside. KARAT GOLD made an early advance outside, pressed the winner into the turn, faltered and faded. MATOAKA chased from mid-division going two to three wide on the turn, drifted a bit in the stretch, failed to rally. EMPIRE'S FLAME chased from between runners early, steadied slightly nearing the seven-sixteenths, steadily retreated.
