AWESOME GRACE took control when nudged for run entering the backstretch, set a moderate pace unopposed under a snug hold down the backstretch, roll along with little pressure applied from challenging rivals setting an even tempo around the oval, opened up when urged right handed by the furlong pole and just had enough left in the tank holding on for the win by a quickly diminishing margin. STUNNINGLY PERFECT settled near the rear initially, ranged up in the two path down the backside watching the frontrunner between horses at the half, chased the leader with challengers on both sides throughout the bend, angled to the three path in hunt turning for home and found another gear in the last sixteenth of a mile and charged home sharply in deep stretch to make it interesting at the wire but had to settle for second best on this day. LOVELY RAINBOW had a good spot drafting behind the frontrunner, continued to sit poised waiting behind the leader around the bend waiting to make a move, shifted outside in the two path posing the main threat between foes at the top of the lane, stalled giving way fighting up front to the rivals on either side by the furlong pole and ran on well enough to be a clear but distant third in the end. SWIFTY KIM stalked close to the back ahead of only one runner when the field was sorting themselves out midway along the backside, was scrubbed on at the three eighths pole to go after the lead group but was making little headway around the bend, shifted to the four path turning for home and finished up one paced capturing a minor placing. CLOCKWORK ANGEL was brushed outside then stumbled on the break, settled close to the back between runners in the beginning, moved up quickly in the three path along the backside to track the frontrunner by the half, travelled three wide chasing the pace outside but could not manage to keep up to the front three foes by the quarter pole and had little left weakening in the three path in the stretch drive. FEELING SUPERSONIC was void of early foot lagging behind runners remaining off the rail, travelled three wide around the turn making a little move catching up to an inside runner by the half, swung out widest in lane five at the top of the stretch but had little to offer in the stretch running. MARIETTA BABE had an outside tracking position early on, dropped back outside of rivals four deep by the half mile, made no impact just off the rail around the oval and came up empty in the four path through the lane.
