Footnotes
PARAMOUNT PRINCE moved to the lead and clear then shifted in to set the pace from inside, was shadowed by a rival up the backstretch into the far turn, challenged by the runner-up in mid-stretch but dug in and held that foe under steady handling. RUNAWAY AGAIN stalked from between runners in the second flight, tipped out three to four wide coming to the quarter pole in striking distance, was asked at the top of the stretch, drew nearly even a sixteenth out but was held off. SEDBURYS GHOST tracked the leading pair from inside the second flight, saved ground both turns, was asked at the quarter pole, kept on in the lane to get show honors without threatening the top pair. RAPID TEST settled off the pace outside a rival last but one, took the overland route on the far turn into upper stretch fanning six deep, showed good late interest outside rivals to get up for the minor award and narrowly missing third. WAR COURT was bumped after the start, shifted in just after and moved up inside a foe racing toward the rear and saving ground, was off the rail on the far turn biding time, angled out six wide in upper stretch, ran on between runners but needed more. MANSETTI was bumped and steadied after the start, settled at the rear, switched out leaving the backstretch and made a swift move outside four to five wide to reach striking distance but could not sustain the effort and flattened out. TWIN CITY came in after the start bumping rivals, moved forward outside stalking the eventual winner two to three deep, came up empty. LUCKY GUEST was outside foes mid-pack three to four wide, asked for more three furlongs out, failed to rally.
