COBURG travelled comfortably from the outside assuming command on the rail when heading onto the first of two turns, set an honest pace unopposed in the early stages cantering along, controlled the tempo getting a breather down the backstretch with the field bunching up at the half, was nudged along with no pressure applied by rivals around the final bend and had plenty when called upon to open up smartly in the final furlong to win by many crossing the finish line. ONE MORE BREW had the rail sitting in the middle of the pack, was forwardly placed sitting in the second flight inside the stablemate just behind the leader at the half, took up the chase on the frontrunner through the final end, posed the only threat two wide at the top of the stretch, could not quicken with the winner in mid -stretch but finished up strong enough to easily best the rest for the runners up placing. NINJA STAR was well situated on the outside tracking the frontrunner, continued outside with another keeping a close eye on the leader down the backstretch, was roused offering little response on the far turn retreating by the quarter pole, swung out widest in the four path turning for home and tenaciously resurged outside in deep stretch to come back on outside for the show placing. BOWMAN'S RUN was unhurried finding his feet on the rail seeing the field in the early stages, closed the gap co-trailing inside another with the field compact at the half mile marker, offered a mild rally inside of runners on the far turn at the quarter pole, moved up just off the fence for the third position straightening out for the drive but could not sustain the run and idled in the final sixteenth being picked up late to only settle on the fringes in the end. WELLER GREEN had a stalking trip having one beaten in the early going, shared the rear outside at the half, offered a brief spurt going three wide trying to circle around runners at the five sixteenths but was making little headway outside and came up empty in the stretch drive.
