CHARMING JACKIE broke inwards on the start, was fleet footed seizing control while in hand loose up top by the five eighths marker, moved very comfortable with no rivals making a challenge around the oval, pull away when finally called upon in mid-stretch and cruised on home for the front end score. SARATOGA GOLD was away alertly on the start, took back being reined in to sit in mid-division on the outside three deep with a half still to run, made a solid rally circling around foes three wide on the oval to be in the conversation up top at the head of the lane, finished up well enough besting the rest getting up for the runners up share late outside but was well back of the wire at the finish line. CHINOOK had a good spot forwardly placed on the outside tracking the frontrunner, chased the winner in vain around the turn, shifted to the three path being no match to the winner by the furlong pole and faded in the final sixteenth slightly losing the battle for the secondary award inside. MR BOND was bumped by the outside rival on the break, had the rail sitting in midfield under a snug hold at the half mile pole, was shuffled back being checked briefly on the fence at the seven sixteenths marker, moved to the three path for the stretch run and showed late interest to be all alone at the wire for a minor award. IRON WEAVE tracked the leader between runners at the five furlong marker, dropped back unable to hold position by the half, was hard ridden on the rail just keeping pace, moved to the four path straightening out for home and finished up mildly but could not get involved in the late going. FLATTER SUCCESS travelled on the inside of another near the rear, made little impression taking the short way around the turn, hugged the rail taking the corner and could not offer a finishing kick in the stretch drive. HYPNOTIZM settled close to the back end on the outside, offered a mild run improving outside a couple of runners in the turn, swung out widest in the five path turning for home but could not factor late. MARIETTA BABE was nudged for more on the fence advancing inside runners to sit just behind the front pair at the half, had little left to offer when urged on in midturn when backing away and came up empty in the drive due to his early efforts down the backside. ASTRAL hopped at the break spotting the field many along the backside, continued to trail the pack around the bend, lagged behind in the stretch drive but did almost catch an inside weary rival at the finish line.
