BOOTSONTHEGROUND was content rating kindly sitting off the frontrunner outside down the back straight, was spurred to go after the leader by the rider at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path in the hunt at the top of the stretch, grinded away outside keeping in tight on the inside rivals in the late going and with relentless pursuit in deep stretch pulled away for the win in the final seventy yards. MUNNYSTRUCK emerged from the early scramble loose up top well in hand into the backside by the five eights marker, opened up even further by the half, cruised along untouched through the bend, had a comfortable advantage just off the fence in upper stretch, kept finding more when urged holding on with a furlong still to run but gave way to the determined winner outside in the final seventy yards while holding for the place share from the tough-tripped rival at the wire. BONGINO WARRIOR had the rail position sitting in the middle of the pack, inched up moving well on the fence through the bend, scraped paint in the conversation up top straightening out for the drive, lacked a clear lane in tight between the dueling leaders at the furlong pole to basically the wire and finished up a troubled but clear third in the end. YORKTON'S LEGACY was unhurried seeing the field in the early stages, tried to make a four wide circling move around rivals move in midturn, swung out widest in the six path in upper stretch, could not sustain the rally and finished up mildly outside another getting only a minor placing in the end. DEEP POCKETS settled outside another in mid-division, was scrubbed on for more run starting to make a rally at the five sixteenths pole three wide, angled to the four path still in the mix turning for home but idled between horses by the furlong marker. MALTESE WARRIOR had a stalking role down the backside ahead of only one runner, travelled two wide on the turn closing the gap by the quarter pole unable to improve position though, stayed inside rivals in the stretch drive but could not offer a finishing kick in the last furlong.
