Footnotes
LOOKS LUCKY TO ME was hard held early on in mid-pack, pulled the rider closer while under restraint between foes along the backside, was asked for run at the quarter pole having a sharp turn of foot circling around horses four wide, pounced four wide outside rivals in upper stretch to take control by the eighth pole and was kept to the task late to win comfortably when crossing the finish line. MAGICAL TRICK was under a snug hold watching the top two while nestled on the rail, inched up on the leaders when shifting out by the quarter pole, lacked running room three wide behind rivals turning for home, had to angle out off horses four wide with a furlong to go for clear run, could not go with the winner who got the jump by that time but did finish up smartly late to get up for second money while closing in on the leader at the wire. FOXY DIVA stalked close the back of the pack just off the rail, made little headway inside foes still on the fence down the backside, was scrubbed on at the five sixteenths pole starting to grab on to the bit, darted between horses from the two path in full flight at the furlong pole, shifted to the rail late and with one final surge got up for the nod getting the show money right at the finish line. ANITA MARGARITA hounded the pacesetter on the outside in the initial turn, was content to be alone tracking the loose leader down the backside, was asked for more getting her head in front between rivals at the quarter pole, continued to dig in up top clinging onto the lead inside horses at the top of the stretch, could not fend off the late burst by the winner outside at the furlong pole and faded late between foes to just get nabbed on the wire inside for the third place share. GATHER travelled with runners on both sides in the third flight on the first bend, closed the gap while on the outside keeping an eye on the front pair by the half, moved in around the far turn to bid three wide at the quarter pole, still was in the thick of things between rivals three wide in mid-stretch, but could not go on with others late and stalled by the sixteenth pole. MISS PIERRE travelled three wide outside rivals in the third flight through the first bend, dropped back slightly three deep in midfield by the half, was hard ridden keeping pace with others around the last turn but could not get into contention having the four path in the drive to the wire. SARATOGA EMPRESS (GB) co-trailed on the outside early on, made little movement through the back straight, could not gear into gear through the running around the last turn and while three wide down the stretch passed the leg weary early leader outside in the last sixteenth of a mile. WORRY LESS had the lead on the rail into the first of two turns, was loose up top setting a moderate pace down the backside, was headed outside midway on the final turn, dug in trying to fight back on the rail in upper stretch, could not find more to give by the furlong pole and folded inside horses with a sixteenth left to run. BRAVO KATE was unhurried co-trailing on the fence into the first turn, could see the field along the backstretch, lagged behind the group making no run on the final behind and galloped home down the stretch.
