Footnotes
EL DIABLITO had the lead on the rail going into the first turn, was uncontested slowing the pace down considerably along the backside, comfortably maintained control through the far turn and spurted away when set down in upper stretch to coast home for the wire to wire score. GINGER'S HOLIDAY travelled four wide near the rear in the beginning, made no movement outside another down the back straight, started to make a rally three wide outside foes at the quarter pole, shifted out five wide full of run at the top of the lane and closed in belatedly to best the rest outside for the runners up share. EARNING MY EARS settled in mid-pack two wide outside another in the first turn, narrowed the margin well in hand at the half, began to lengthen stride three wide a quarter mile from home, shifted out in the four path in upper stretch dueling for the place share and just managed to save the show award from a late closer at the finish line. SOUPER VINNIE had the fence in mid-division, closed the gap on the frontrunner with a half mile to go, kept pace with others on the far turn, was shuffled back on the rail by the quarter pole, swung out four wide in mid-stretch and closed in smartly almost getting up right on the line for the third place share. KNOWING had a stalking position inside on the rail only ahead of the slow starter in the early going, began to pick up the bit between runners at the quarter pole, angled out three wide turning for home coming with a run, lost her path being checked losing momentum at the eighth pole and could not recover in time to factor at the wire. DILWAALA had a outside tracking role five wide into the initial bend, was in range of the top two while three deep outside down the backstretch, moved in by the five sixteenths marker, got to the winners flank outside with a quarter mile remaining, chased to no avail in upper stretch and faltered on the rail still on the wrong lead at the furlong marker. PROCEEDWITHCAUTION travelled four wide tracking the pacesetter on the first turn, was content to sit behind the leader down the backside, could not make any gain on the frontrunner under a ride at the five sixteenths pole on the rail and had little left for the drive faltering inside runners in upper stretch. SCAT CITY was away slowly trailing the field in the early stages, lagged well behind losing touch with the group through the far turn and cantered down the lane across the finish line.
