Footnotes
PROUD MISCHIEF was bumped on the outside at the break, improved with runners on either side along the back straight to sit in midfield with a half mile still to run, was nudged for more picking up the bit just off the fence midway on the turn, split rivals coming with a run at the quarter pole and was gaining steadily inside down the stretch to drive past the leader on the rail taking control at the sixteenth pole and won going away at the finish line. MOVENTOTHECOUNTRY had an outside position moving three deep having a few rivals beaten going down the backside, started to mount a rally in the three path between horses on the turn at the quarter pole, shifted to the rail from the three path in upper stretch to follow the winner on the fence at the furlong marker, angled back out two wide in the late running and closed smartly in the last sixteenth to win the nod for second best right at the wire. THATSITTHATSALL stalked near the rear between runners in the early going, started to make a run splitting horses at the three eighths pole, swung out widest carrying all the momentum in the eight path at the head of the lane, could not get to the winner late but did offer a solid late run to just miss out on the runners up share losing the nod at the wire outside rivals. GET OUT THE VOTE prompted the pace outside in the beginning, dueled outside bobbing heads up front down the backstretch, edged away for a clear advantage disposing of the early speed foe in midturn, continued to travel well in control but by a diminishing lead at the furlong pole, had no answer losing the top spot when the winner swept inside taking over at the sixteenth pole, faded between horses in deep stretch to lose a couple of positions nearing the wire and having to settle on the fringes in the end instead. RIGHT BRIGHTLY was lacking early foot trailing by many along the back straight, still lagged behind runners through the bend, shifted out six wide catching up to the field turning for home, weaved through runners picking up rivals smartly down the stretch and finished with intent late to almost close in for a minor role in the end. ROSIEPOSIE broke in on the start, was isolated watching the contesting pair into the backstretch, settled on the inside of another in the second flight by the half, moved in three wide on the turn at the quarter pole to be in the mix turning for home, could not quicken with others late and evened out in the last sixteenth of a mile. HOLYMOLYMEOHMY had a stalking trip ahead of only one runner along the back straight, offered a mild run three wide outside foes at the five sixteenths marker, shifted out to the seven path at the top of the stretch and had good late energy passing many tiring rivals outside in the final sixteenth of a mile. ROOKIE COURT travelled three deep on the outside in the middle of the pack, kept pace with rivals going three wide outside foes through the turn, had a chance in the six path for a piece of the prize in upper stretch, could not find more in the late running though and yielded by the furlong pole. SINFUL FORESTER was tucked inside runners on the rail in midfield at the half, waited for the cue to go behind foes on the rail midway on the turn, lacked running room shifting out two wide straightening out for home, angled out three wide having a clear run but failed to fire in the late stages. HELANA was checked in tight between horses at the three quarters pole exiting the chute, improved slightly at the half up the fence, retreated when being passed by a couple of outside rivals at the five sixteenths pole and failed to menace going in the three path for the drive to the finish line. MARYLAND SPIRIT advanced outside runners down the backstretch to sit in the second flight watching the embattled duo at the half, chased four wide making little gain on the leader around the bend, was laying in while four wide in upper stretch, stayed on the incorrect lead down the lane shortening stride and faltered between foes at the eighth pole. LET'S BE FIRST was hustled inside having a slim lead leaving the chute, battled on the rail nodding heads up front down the backside, could not continue on up top giving way inside midway on the turn and had little left for the drive folding on the fence inside runners in upper stretch.
