LUPA (IRE) had her ears pricked setting a slow tempo into the first of two turns, continued lope along up top unchallenged down the backstretch, was let out a notch under a well rated ride comfortably maintaining control on the far turn and had more than enough left for the drive to hold safe stealing the win while left alone for the frontrunning score. SULTANA was allowed to settle into stride at the back of the pack on the first turn just off the fence, continued to gallop along at the back well in range of the frontrunner down the backside, rallied three wide swooping around horses through the final turn, posed the main threat to the leader four wide turning for home but could only gradually close in on the winner who had something left in deep stretch and had to settle for the runners up share in the end. CLEARWATER BEACH was under a tight hold nestled on the rail in the middle of the pack, edged up smartly closing the gap on the leader through the far turn, skimmed the fence to be in the conversation for the win position at the furlong pole, could no match strides with the lead duo having a sixteenth still to run but did battle on to the wire stubbornly holding inside for the show money. REVELER'S ROW broke a step slow on the start, advanced three wide around rivals through the initial turn to sit in mid-division three deep along the backside watching the front two runners, was roused at the three furlong marker on the far bend closing in to bid off the flank of the pacesetter at the quarter pole, battled three wide on the outside in the thick of things up front down the stretch but evened out with a furlong to go and settled for a minor placing at the wire. STREET PRINCESS pressed the issue inside in the beginning, was content to track the frontrunner outside applying little pressure under a soft pace down the backstretch, was hard ridden chasing the leader but was going in the wrong direction in the three path midway on the final turn and could not find something more to offer inside a rival down the lane. MAXINE MAGIC settled near the rear in the two path between horses having only one rival beaten in the early stages, made no progression along the backside, was urged for more but was being passed on the outside to be at the rear having three eighths still to run and angled out three wide for the stretch drive but could play no role in the late running.
