Footnotes
ELYSIAN FIELD rated kindly stalking outside rivals three deep along the backside, began to quickly reach for more ground when called upon at the three furlong marker, closed in sharply going three to four wide swooping around runners on the bend, loomed boldly widest in the six path in upper stretch and with a overpowering late charge edged past stubborn challengers outside by the sixteenth pole for the stretch running victory. TICKER TAPE HOME had an ideal spot isolated watching the engaged pair early on, began to lengthen stride closing in on the lead duo midway along the turn three wide, angled out to the five path bidding between horses for the lead in upper stretch, never gave in down the lane but was slightly outkicked by the winner outside in deep stretch. STORMCAST pressed the pace inside at the beginning, took back to track the frontrunner by the half, measured the leader through the turn, began to reel in the pacesetter by the quarter pole, assumed command three wide between foes at the top of the lane, could not fend off the oncoming stablemates outside by the sixteenth pole but determinedly kept on going to the wire to hold for the show award late. A LITTLE FRISKY had the rail staking near the rear at the half mile marker, picked up the bit saving ground through the turn at the five sixteenths pole, skimmed the fence to be in the mix up front inside rivals at the furlong marker, dug in gamely but needed a bit more in the late running to threaten for a higher placing at the wire settling for a minor share in the end. METAPHYSICAL sat all alone in midpack down the backside, was roused but could not quicken with rivals mounting a rally on both sides in midturn, shifted out to the four path straightening out for home but failed to fire in the final furlong. TALK TO YA LATER had a stalking position ahead of the troubled starter along the back straight, made little impression taking the short way around the turn and while in the three path could not get involved driving to the finish line down the stretch. BLIND SPOT was away poorly to trail the field by many along the backstretch, roused around the bend to actually catch up to a runner four wide turning for home and managed to pass the leg weary early leader in the stretch running. OLIVIA ROSE had a slim lead on the outside leaving the chute, shook loose up top by the half, rattled along setting a rapid pace unopposed through the turn, was collared outside two wide at the top of the lane, offered no resistance inside rivals in upper stretch, emptied out by the furlong marker and was not persevered with in the final sixteenth of a mile.STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING THE START RESULTED IN #6 BLIND SPOTS BEING DECLARED A NON STARTER AND ISSUED A FULL REFUND ON ALL WAGERS ON SAID HORSE DUE TO AN UNFAIR START
