SHAK TOWN was hustled from the outer post vying up top at the break, grabbed onto the bit pulling the rider clear up front under a snug hold along the back straight, rolled along increasing the advantage on the turn, had control comfortably going on the rail in upper stretch and was kept to the task having a diminishing lead a furlong from home to hold safe at the wire for the frontrunning score. FLYONBYE had an inside position travelling in midfield down the backstretch, started to commence a run three wide outside foes at the quarter pole, posed the main opposition in three path at the top of the stretch, grinded away on the leader down the lane and closed in late to make it interesting at the wire but having to settled for second best in the end. STROKE OF GENIUS had a sluggish beginning, travelled high headed stalking ahead of the troubled runners along the backside, was nudged picking up the bit shifting outwards at the five sixteenths pole, angled out five wide with clear run straightening out for home and finished up with interest to rally late just getting up for the show money in a photo. MR. PERFECT was away alertly on the break, tracked the loose pacesetter along the backside, settled in the third flight on the rail keeping pace under a busy ride through the bend, skimmed the fence dueling for the place share in upper stretch, finished up one paced inside foes in the final furlong and was just caught for the third-place share at the wire. HARD RIGHT broke out on the start, was part of the scramble up front leaving the gate, had to be checked in tight quarters at the five eighths pole dropping back quickly to co-trail on the outside by the half, travelled three to four wide through the turn making no movement, shifted out widest in the six path turning for home and while staying on the left lead could only manage to pass a single rival in the stretch run. NOT A CARE was taken a hold off breaking inwards on the start to trail the field in the beginning, caught up to a rival inside by the half, saved ground making little impact around the bend and could not factor on the fence in the stretch drive. SMOKE MCLEOD was on the outside sitting in the middle of the pack along the backstretch, made a quick move improving position at the half, chased the frontrunner to no avail around the turn, was engulfed by challengers on both sides at the quarter pole have little left and emptied out in the two path by upper stretch.
