SOUPER EFFECT broke a little awkwardly, settled off the pace racing inside on the turn and biding time, angled five wide in mid-stretch then unleashed a furious rally to get up in time. ZUCCHERO was coaxed to the lead, set the pace inside shadowed by rivals, shook clear at the top of the stretch, was caught at the wire. INSTANT RESPONSE got away well, tracked the leaders from inside, came out a path in the stretch and kept on to secure show honors. CATEGORY FIVE was just a bit reluctant to load, bumped a rival at the start, stalked from mid-pack outside, went four wide on the turn, drifted out in the stretch but ran on to get up for fourth. MAC GOWAN stalked not too far off the leaders racing three wide on the turn, was forced out a bit in the lane and weakened. BEE ME was between foes early, raced two to three wide on the turn dropping back and was ridden along past the three-eighths, came out seven wide in upper stretch, improved position. WAITINGFORAHOLIDAY switched out heading up the backstretch racing off the pace and outside foes, went five wide on the turn, was forced out a bit in upper stretch, ran on but needed more. WAHEELA chased from between runners going two to three wide on the turn, failed to rally. COOLCOLLECTED was unhurried at the rear, swung nine wide into upper stretch, failed to menace. GUS'S DRUMBEET was bumped from both sides at the start, encouraged forward between foes to be mid-pack in pursuit, was ridden three furlongs out racing three to four wide on the turn, came out seven to nine deep turning into upper stretch, failed to threaten. DEVIL'S TONGUE was just a bit fractious in the gate, bumped a rival at the start, pressed the runner-up from outside, faltered and faded.
