Footnotes
COME ON BIG LOU was hustled for the lead inside runners seizing command on the rail entering the backstretch, rolled along loose up top at the three eighths marker, had company on the outside by the quarter pole, appeared to have lost the lead for a stride or two in upper stretch but was resilient inside down the lane resurging at the furlong marker to regain the top spot and held on from a relentless runner up. BIG LEW was content to track the pacesetter outside down the backside, moved in closer by the five sixteenths pole to bid for the lead outside having a quarter mile still to run, poked his head up front having a slight advantage outside for a brief moment entering the stretch, stubbornly fought on while staying on the incorrect lead down the lane but just could not get by the winner inside in deep stretch. DROGON was situated three deep on the outside keeping a close eye on the lead three down the backstretch, narrowed the gap on the turn still having a three wide journey outside foes, was in touch with the contesting duo three wide in upper stretch, could not match strides with the lead pair by the furlong pole but did run on to the wire to hold safe for the show money at the finish line. GLORIOUS REVENGE was tucked in on the fence watching the lone speed at the half, kept up with the top pair travelling on the fence throughout the turn, shifted to the four path in upper stretch in with a chance for a share but could only finish up one paced outside rivals to settle on the fringes in the end. HELLO JELLO was in tight soon after the start, clipped heels while being checked between horses leaving the chute, lagged well behind the field down the back straight, had a sharp turn of foot catching and then passing rivals outside in the oval running, shifted out widest in the six path at the top of the lane but evened out by mid-stretch. WESTMORE broke outwards on the start, travelled in midfield inside another down the backstretch, dropped back on the rail by midturn, shifted out two wide in upper stretch and could not be a factor in the late stretch running. WANNA'S LEGACY settled on the outside in the middle of the pack, offered a mild run taking the short way around the bend, moved out to the three path straightening for home but had no rally to offer in the stretch drive. ASHWOOD had a stalking role ahead of only the troubled rival early on, co-trailed on the outside with five sixteenths to go, angled out five wide turning for home but failed to menace through the lane.
