Footnotes
TAKEMYBOURBONNEAT inherited the lead on the rail when the early leader was getting out at the half mile marker, shook loose from the group at the five sixteenths pole, was moving well in control in the three path straightening out for the drive and held comfortably at the finish line while being kept to the task in the final sixteenth of a mile. GENIUS OF LOVE was under a tight rein in last with the field very compact midway down the backside, advanced smartly having a clear path on the fence around the turn, shifted out gathering more speed with aim on the pacesetter at the top of the stretch but could not find more late to threaten the winner in the late stages. CYMBAL COURT was on the outside of runners going four deep near the rear along the back straight, could see the field running around the bend, commenced a rally at the quarter pole shifting out splitting foes five wide in upper stretch and finished up with good intent through the lane to be a clear but distant third at the wire. STERLING HEIGHTS prompted the pace outside at the half, chased the winner in vain inside another throughout the bend, was floated out six wide at the top of the lane and ran on evenly through the stretch for a minor role at the finish. PRIMA was in the second flight outside a rival at the half, took closer order three wide outside foes at the three furlong pole tracking the frontrunner, could not keep up to others inside who were making a rally while going four wide a quarter mile from the wire, shifted out to the six path turning for home but had little to show in the stretch running. SAUCY NAME had the lead but was getting out under a hard left line down the backstretch, bore out badly being eased through the turn, cantered down the lane across the finish line and walked off back to the barn.
