Footnotes
SOUPER SUCCESS emerged from the scrum up top to have a clear advantage on the fence by the seven sixteenths marker, moved well loose on the lead around the oval setting a brisk pace and had more when asked for run at the furlong pole to cruise home for the victory in the end. NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) travelled on the rail in midfield, edged up saving ground throughout the turn, shifted out two wide posing the only threat to the pacesetter at the top of the lane but was unable to go on with the winner who had plenty left in the final furlong while still easily besting the rest for the secondary share. BANKER'S HOURS stalked outside close to the back of the pack early on, begun to mount a rally lengthening stride behind a trio of runners at the quarter pole, skimmed the rail turning for home and had a sharp late burst inside runners in the final furlong to get up late winning the photo for the show money at the wire. MAMBA ON THREE was in tight quarters at the start to trail the field down the backside, was well behind the group on the running thorough the bend, swung out widest in the five path straightening out for the drive and finished up with late interest to just miss out on the duel for the show money outside another rival by a nod at the wire. KINETIC STONE broke in at the start, travelled three deep outside in the middle of the pack down the back straight, continued three wide keeping pace with the inside rivals who were tracking the lead pair on the turn, moved out to the five path turning for home but had little finish to give and faded in the last furlong with runners on either side. JIMMIES BIG DAY broke outwards on the start, settled with runners on each side in mid-division along the backstretch, was going the wrong way in the two path between horses by the quarter pole and had nothing more to offer yielding in the three path in upper stretch. GRAINGER COUNTY was part of the fivesome battling outside rivals for the lead down the backstretch, chased the leader at the seven sixteenths pole outside and around the bend making little headway, angled out four wide turning for home but folded between horses in the final sixteenth.
