PARAMOUNT PRINCE had the rail setting a slow pace in the beginning, sat all alone up top quickening the pace slightly settling into a good rhythm down the backside, remained on the fence being let out a notch starting to speed up the tempo on the turn with rivals trying to bear down at the quarter pole, was finally set down in upper stretch playing coy when spurting away sharply at the furlong pole and won going away for the wire to wire score. WICKED DJANGO had the rail co-trailing on the inside, was under a snug hold at the rear entering the backstretch, crept closer on the fence by the half, moved inside at the three furlong pole coming with a good rally, shifted out at the five sixteenths pole being tapped on the shoulder going after the leader, loomed three wide outside for a fleeting moment turning for home but was repelled by the winner who had the run of the race by the furlong pole while still finishing up smartly to easily be second best. RAPID TEST shared the rear outside going two wide on the initial bend, ranged closer in the three path outside foes with the group bunching up at the half, travelled four wide being pushed out slightly midway on the last turn just trying to keep up, was no match to the lead pair who had their own separate race in the final furlong but did show grit to win the duel fir the third place prize outside in deep stretch. SAUGEEN was content to sit outside off the pacesetter around the first of two turns, had his head cocked to the outside chasing the frontrunner down the backstretch, could not hold forward position three wide on the second bend between foes by the quarter pole, shifted to the rail for the drive to the wire but faded inside the eighth losing the battle for the show award.
