TWOWAYCROSSING was allowed to settle at the back in the early stages loping along, was well within range while still at the rear down the backstretch, closed the gap still unleashed with the field bunching up tightly at the quarter pole, swung out five abreast having a clear run outside foes turning for home and drove past basically under a hand ride at the furlong pole to open up with ease in dominating fashion at the finish line. CORNWALL stalked in the third flight on the outside for the beginning mile, was the first to make a move when roused outside rivals at the three furlong pole, circled runners three wide being scrubbed on at the quarter pole, could not threaten the winner in the lane but had a good finish outside runners in the final furlong to get up late besting others for the place share. ONE MORE BREW was content to track the leader in the early going, inched up to make a bid outside the pacesetter with five sixteenths to go, poked his head in front in the two path between horses straightening out for the drive, offered no resistance when the winner flew by at the eighth pole and was caught late giving way to the outside foe for the runners up share in deep stretch. JOURNEYMAN had the rail in the third flight, settled in midfield alone down the back straight, saved ground keeping pace with rivals on the last of three turns, had no room in the three path behind horses having to be checked when coming up the eighth pole and could not get re-started to pose a threat in the late stages. FIGHTER IN THE WIN assumed command loose up top on the first turn, set an even pace along the backside, continued unopposed on the front end still setting a moderate tempo on the final bend, relinquished the lead unable to quicken inside rivals at the top of the stretch and had nothing to give folded on the fence in the last furlong.
