GOOD SIN moved to the lead and clear shifting in heading into the first turn to dictate terms near the inside, was pressed by an outside rival at the nine-sixteenths, challenged by that one on the far turn and headed near the quarter pole now engaged in a duel, fought back in the lane to retake the lead a sixteenth out and held that rival. SWAN LAKE stalked two to three wide between foes early up the backstretch, moved forward rapidly to press the leader at the four- and one-half, applied further pressure on the far turn putting a head in front near the quarter pole, was put to urging and dueled through the stretch still with a narrow advantage but was turned back at the sixteenth pole and denied. SNOOKERED tracked in behind the leaders inside, swung five wide into upper stretch, was gaining on the dueling leaders late. PET SOUNDS was carried six wide into the first turn exchanging some brushing in the process, moved rapidly on that bend and early up the backstretch while shifting in to briefly press the leader then steadily dropped back between foes, had a joint share of last on the far turn racing inside, kept on in the stretch to improve position. AMAZIN QUEEN settled off the inside toward the rear, made a mild advance four wide on the far turn swinging six deep into upper stretch, failed to menace. BILL NEEDLE steadied slightly between foes four wide on the first turn when in a bit tight, settled mid-pack racing three to five wide throughout, was asked by the five-sixteenths but failed to rally. ARMINO broke inwardly, moved forward and shifted out to enter the first turn five wide and brushing with the outside foe lightly, pursued four to five wide from off the pace before shifting in midway on the far turn, was never a threat.
