GONE WITH DUWYN was up top narrowly on the rail but travelling well in hand midway down the backstretch, opened up setting an even tempo all the while the rider statuesque throughout the turn and improved the advantage under only a hand ride down the stretch. DEPUTY GHOST settled in the third flight on the outside in the beginning, made a sharp move splitting foes in the two path at the five sixteenths pole, reached for more ground coming with a good run on the fence at the quarter pole, was no match for the dominant winner in the lane but did finish up stronly to best the rest inside for the runners up placing. FIRE AND WINE was one of the group of four keeping a close eye on the leader travelling in the two path midway down the backside, was roused between rivals three wide keeping pace still at the quarter pole and kept trying in the four path down the entire stretch just missing for the secondary share outside at the wire. LOVE PUDDLES had the in the middle of the pack, advanced smartly on the fence with three eighths to go, shifted out in the two path making a run, was in the hunt three wide between rivals turning for home but evened out with a furlong to go settling on the fringes in the end. AMORE MIO had a tracking spot four deep down the back straight, continued four wide stubbornly keeping pace outside foes around the oval, shifted out in the five path at the top of the lane, stayed on the left lead through the lane and faded by the furlong marker. NO CAPE had a sluggish start well behind the group down the backstretch, lagged behind around turn, picked up a rival outside with a quarter mile from home and continue to show interest on the scene late passing a couple more in the final furlong. MAKER'S FLATTER was in the three-path part of the foursome watching the frontrunner in the early going, was urged but was retreating midway on the turn and wilted in the two path by mid-stretch. BALBONI'S CREW stalked between runners down the backside, was hard ridden in the third flight having the rail making no progression around the oval and could not offer a finish in the stretch running inside rivals. PELEE ISLAND stalked on the outside going four deep down the backstretch, had nothing to give dropping back on the turn be in last at the quarter pole and cantered home through the lane.
