RELOAD RALEIGH was pushed out on the start, had a slim advantage outside foes in the beginning, contested the pace outside relinquishing the lead at the half, regained the front outside midway around the bend, was clinging onto the top spot inside two wide turning for home, lost the front end for a stride or two in upper stretch, switched leads coming up the furlong pole and was game inside in the late stages to edge away for the hard fought victory. TIME ZAPPER veered outwards on the start, vied between runners in the early going, was taken back of the engaged pair by the five eighths pole, shifted out three wide at the three furlong marker moving up through the turn, pounced three wide with a quarter still to run, had hid head in front briefly in the four path in upper stretch but was outkicked by the determined winner inside in the final furlong. EUBANK was brushed inside at the start, traveled four deep in midfield down the backside, closed the gap taking the overland route four wide at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch and ran on mildly to be a distant third at the finish line. WAITINGFORAHOLIDAY broke out on the start, stalked inside a rival down the back straight, was hard ridden losing ground to the lead group throughout the bend, angled out five wide for the drive to the wire and only picked up a weary rival in deep stretch outside to get a minor share in the end. SMOKE MCLEOD pressed the pace on the rail at the start, moved up getting his head in front on the fence by the half, surrendered the lead inside while encouraged left handed in midturn, could not keep up to the embattled duo who had it to themselves in upper stretch and wilted inside horses in the final seventy yards. NOT A CARE was antsy behind the gate prior to the start, broke sluggishly spotting the field, was hustled entering the backstretch by the rider to stay in touch, took the short way around the turn still at the back of the pack but could not play a role inside horses in the stretch running.
