Footnotes
EXECUTIVE SUCCESS bobbled a touch on the start, recovered quickly eager between foes in trio up top in the beginning, had an ideal spot relaxing smartly all alone watching the contesting pair at the half, travelled just off the fence waiting for the cue around the oval, moved in four wide with horses on either side turning for home, seized control by the furling poke never switching leads in the drive but still fought on to hold safe for the win from a late closing rival outside in deep stretch. GIRLS WEEKEND had the two path near the rear in the early stages, was last midway around the turn yet to be let out a notch, had the three path behind a wall of runners looking for a clear lane to make a run, angled out five wide getting a seam at the furlong pole and surged late to best the rest but could not get to the winner in time. SAUCY NAME had the lead narrowly on the fence down the backside and throughout the turn, shifted out to the two path still in the hunt at the top of the stretch, valiantly kept on chasing the winner at the furlong pole and finished up well enough to be a clear third at the wire. SOUPER SUNDAY hopped at the break trailing the field in the early going, caught up to the pack improving on the rail at the half, advanced on the fence saving all the ground in the turn running, scraped paint getting into contention making a bid inside three others straightening out for home but stalled in the final furlong settling for a minor share only. GENIUS OF LOVE travelled three deep close to the back, edged up on the turn going outside rivals three wide by the quarter pole, swung out widest in the five path coming on briefly to have a chance for a share outside in upper stretch but could not sustain the rail and was unable to threaten in the final eighth of a mile only picking up a weary runner at the wire. SUIGU BELLE was hustled early on prompting the pace three deep on the outside initially, dueled outside going head to head at the half as well as throughout the turn, poked her head in front for a fleeting moment three wide between horses at the head of the lane but had little left late being the first of the quartet batting up top down the stretch to give way wilting at the furlong marker.
