PRIMA was in the three path part of the foursome watching the loose pacesetter down the backstretch, crept closer midway on the turn, posed the main threat in the three path turning for home and relentlessly plugged away in the stretch seizing command with a sixteenth to run to draw away for the victory when crossing the finish line. STEALIN'TIME stalked five deep on the outside early on, made a good move mounting a rally splitting runners two wide at the quarter pole, angled out three wide in upper stretch, was no match for the winner late but closed in belatedly to be second best at the wire. CITORI dashed away on the rail moving briskly along the backside, rambled on loose up top around the bend, remained well in control straightening out for the drive, switched back to the incorrect lead shortening stride coming to the sixteenth pole and faded inside late to just save for third place at the finish line. SAUCY NAME had an outside role tracking the leader four deep down the back straight, dropped back briefly going three wide outside rivals at the quarter pole and found another gear down the lane with a solid late charge with a furlong to go just missing outside at the wire for the show award. UNHEARD was unhurried in the beginning seeing the field, was carried out by the loose horse throughout the turn having no chance to get into contention but showed grit and determination to close in considerably on the pack in the deep stretch running. SHOOTIN' AMY was part of the quartet watching the frontrunner while between horses having the two path down the backside, took the short way around the oval keeping pace, had little to offer for the drive to the wire and yielded by mid-stretch. REACH FOR THE TOP was nestled on the fence tracking the lone speed along the backside in the second flight with a host of others on the outside, was in tight jostled inside possibly hitting the rail losing the rider at the three furlong marker, galloped along going to the outside fence taking another foe out there as well through the running on the turn and walked off.STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING #2 REACH FOR THE TOP AT THE THREE FURLONG MARKER RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
