NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) had a slim advantage on the fence down the backside, maintained control moving comfortably on the rail while pressured outside running around the oval, shot clear when nudged for more in the two path straightening out for the drive and under mild urging held safe for the frontrunning score. CLASSIC DANCER broke outwards on the start, pressed the issue outside three deep in the early going, shadowed the pacesetter outside throughout the turn and chased the winner in vain down the entire lane just saving the runners share from an oncoming outside rival at the finish line. GUILDSMAN (FR) was void of early foot sharing the rear inside after the start, could see the the compact group well within range at the half, made little improvement saving ground on the bend, shifted out gathering momentum in the two path exiting the turn, moved out further in the four path coming with a late charge, secured the show award in deep stretch but almost closed in for second money as well at the finish line. HIGHLAND SOCIETY vied between horses in the beginning, was reined back to have a good spot all alone watching the contesting pair at the half, was tucked in on the rail sitting just behind the frontrunner on the bend, angled out four wide at the top of the stretch but failed to fire between rivals in the late running. BORDER TOWN was pushed out by the inside rival on the break co-trailing outside at the start, improved slightly along the backside to stalk outside by the half, could not close the gap around the bend, shifted out four wide asking for run outside rivals in upper stretch, offered no response, was not persevered with in the final furlong and was eased up when crossing the wire.
