Footnotes
CLOCKWORK ANGEL was in the mix on the rail in the beginning, took back being rein in sitting of the contesting pair at the five-furlong marker, sat all alone measuring the embattled twosome around the oval, angled outside off the front pair to be four wide taking closer order turning for home and steadily grinded away on the outside through the stretch drive to just get up outside of two others stretching the neck at the wire for the win. FLATTER FOR CAT had a neck in front while in the three path with runners on either side in the early stages, dueled throughout the turn with an outside rival running side by side, had the two path holding onto the lead in mid-stretch outside a couple of challengers kept digging in holding on with only a sixteenth left to run but just got nabbed by the winner outside while just holding the place share in tight finish for the top three spots. ALOHA KITTY was brushed by the inside runner a few jumps out of the gate, recovered to press the issue outside four deep in the beginning, battled outside for the front end with five eighths from home, continued to slug it out with an inside rival going head-to-head around the turn, shifted to the three path for the stretch run, fought on with runners on both sides in the final furlong, switched back to the incorrect lead with a sixteenth to go but still kept on trying to the very end almost getting there but was on the wrong end of a three way blanket finish for the win. LONGTIMERUNNING was void of early foot trailing the engaged quartet in the early going when being roused to stay interested, began to lengthen stride passing an outside foe in midturn, shifted to the five path for the stretch drive, drifted inwards to the two path when asked right-handed in upper stretch and ran on greenly switching leads a couple of times in the final furlong still gaining on the front three late but could not threaten at the finish line. MOLLY'S CORNER was on the outside of the eventual winner tracking the front pair midway down the backside, travelled two to three wide around turn showing little being relegated to last with three eighths from home and could not factor just off the fence in the stretch running.
