SPLASH OF BOURBON broke a step slow spotting the field on the break, quickly recovered to be in the fray up top three deep by the half, battled outside around the bend, switched leads at the top of the lane disposing of the inside early speed rivals and was kept to the task to hold on by a diminishing margin at the wire. DADDY'S SECRET was unhurried trailing on the fence, began to pick up runners taking the short way around the turn at the five sixteenths pole, hugged the rail lengthening stride turning for home, burst between rivals in the two path coming with a rally at the furlong marker and was gaining on the winner late bit it wasn't enough at the finish line. SANS DANCER was nudged along pressing the pace on the rail down the backside, took back being reined in to watch the contest pair at the seven sixteenths pole, shifted out at the quarter pole creeping up late in the turn, travelled three wide in the mix at the top of the lane, could not finish up with the lead pair through the stretch, was one paced in the late going but did just save for a minor share in the end. NAKEDINTHEFOREST set the pace narrowly on the front end with runners on both sides in the beginning, bobbed heads battling inside with the eventual winner through the bend, could not continue on up top but mid-stretch and faded in the final seventy yards to settle for a minor share in the end. HURRICANE AMELIA settled between foes in the second flight down the backside, could not advance in the running around the turn, moved out to the four path at the top of the lane but could not get involved in the drive to the wire. BEAU PINK stalked on the outside three deep near the rear, made little progression going three wide outside foes around the oval, shifted out widest in the five path straightening out for the drive but could not factor in the stretch running.
