ARTEMUS CITYLIMITS was fleet footed loose up top down the backside, rolled along unopposed under a snug hold setting a rapid pace around the bend, still was well in control on the fence in mid-stretch, drifted out when urged left-handed in deep stretch but prevailed for the frontrunning score albeit by a quickly diminishing margin at the wire. NIAGARA SKYLINE chased the frontrunner inside another rival down the backstretch and throughout the turn, moved to the three-path posing the main threat outside taking the final corner, kept on fighting through the stretch, inched up in the late stages but could not get to the winner at the finish line while just holding for the runners up share between in a tight finish. CRUMLIN LAD settled in mid-division while four deep along the back straight, kept pace going widest around the turn outside three rivals, shifted to the five path in with a chance for a small share in upper stretch, chipped away never wavering outside down the lane and got up at the wire capturing the show award in a three way finish for the secondary prize. DEWOLF had the rail down the backstretch rating well having only one runner beaten, improved creeping closer while taking the shortest way around the bend, skimmed the fence getting into contention at the head of the lane to be in the thick of things in the two path at the furlong marker but idled inside two others late and ended up on the wrong end of a three way picture for the place share. EL COHETE settled close to the back end while three deep outside others, made little gain while four wide at the five sixteenths pole, swung out widest lengthening stride grinding away outside at the top of the lane, closed in mildly outside with a furlong to go but could not get involved by the time the wire came up. HUMBER RIVER had the rail position in the middle of the pack, edged closer advancing on the rail through the turn, had the three path in the mix between foes with three sixteenths from the prize but stalled with its run when switching back to the incorrect lead in the final furlong. FRACEN MACHO was void of early foot trailing the field outside early on, remained at the rear three wide at the five sixteenths pole, swung out to the six path between horses making a brief move passing a few runners in upper stretch, still closed the gap showing late interest but had no finishing rally in the last furlong unable to improve position any further in the late going. GILT EDGE was forwardly placed three deep in the beginning watch the lone speed leader, settled three wide in the third tier keeping pace between horses on the bend, shifted to the four path for the drive to the wire but failed to fire finishing up one paced in the final furlong. UNCAPTURED MOMENT settled close to the back having the two path down the back straightaway, regressed two wide with horses on either side in midturn, skimmed the fence being a joint last at the quarter marker and could not factor in the late running. QUADZILLA chased the pacesetter outside another in the early going, had nothing more to offer two wide being engulfed between foes at the five sixteenths pole, emptied out in the three path entering the stretch and cantered on home in the final furlong.
