CIUNAS settled into good rhythm unfazed being at the back of the pack still well within striking distance in the early stages, was nudged along for more shifting outside three wide starting to reach for more ground at the midpoint of the final bend, swung out wide gathering even more speed with the group five abreast in anyone's race at the top of the lane and stormed home outside finding another gear in the last eighth of a mile to win going away impressively with a strong late turn of foot. KEKOA broke out trading blows leaving the gate, travelled two wide on the outside close to the tail end, kept a close eye on the engaged pair in pair with an inside foe at the half, made a bid for the lead three wide at the quarter pole, got a head in front battling outside two others straightening out for the drive but was no match for the overpowering late charge by the winner outside in deep stretch. EYES ON THE KING broke inwards exchanging bumps at the start, assumed command on the rail into the first turn, slowed the pace down while shadowed outside down the backside, gave up the front end inside at the five sixteenths pole, countered when scrubbed on shaving the corner at the top of the stretch and kept on fighting inside three others to the end surging at the wire getting the nod for the show money. WAR BOMBER (IRE) tracked the frontrunner outside, moved closer hounding the pace down the backstretch, seized command two wide midway on the final turn, dueled in the two path with runners bearing down on both sides clinging up top at the head of the lane but was outfinished ever so slightly getting nosed out at the wire for the third place share in a scramble of a finish at the wire. YOSHII had a nice set-up tucked in on the rail just behind the leader, ran in tandem with an outside foe in the second flight at the half, waited two wide behind the leader with the pack tightly knit at the quarter pole, moved to the four path in the fray turning for home but needed more in the drive unable to quicken with rivals in upper stretch.
