FROM TIME TO TIME had a narrow advantage between runners in the early going, edged clear moving to the fence by the half mile marker, controlled the pace moving comfortably up top while hounded outside by a couple of outside rivals throughout the turn, fought on stubbornly hugging the rail at the top of the stretch and under a well rationed out ride had plenty more when set down at the furlong pole to win going away at the finish line. YERWAN prompted the pace three deep throughout the backstretch, dueled outside three wide with two inside rivals for the lead in midturn, continued to have the three path in the thick of things outside at the head of the lane, could not match strides with the winner in the final eighth of a mile but still finished up strong enough to easily best the rest for the runners share. EMPIRE'S FLAME veered out sharply on the break spotting the field many while roused to stay interested down the backstretch, took the short route well behind the pack still in the turn running, skimmed the fence taking the final corner, shifted outside showing late energy in the final furlong and got up outside in the final few strides for the third place share. HAVE RESPECT had the inside position on the fence in the mix up top in the beginning, was bumped in tight having to be checked on the rail coming up to the half mile marker losing momentum dropping back slightly, re-engaged two wide between horses at the five sixteenths pole bidding for the lead between rivals, had the two path still in the fight with runners on both sides at the head of the lane, could not continue with the front two by the furlong marker and folded up in the late running inside getting nabbed at the wire for the show award.
