SLOVAN travelled in tandem in the second flight on the outside in the early stages, started to pick up the bit all alone on the rail midway on the last turn having aim on the front twosome, angled out three wide posing the only threat at the top of the stretch, drove by leaving the furlong marker seizing control and was kept to the task to the very end holding safely for the win at the finish line. CRAZY BUSY (JPN) assumed command just off the rail onto the first turn, maintained a slim lead inside setting a dawdling pace down the backstretch, opened up when nudged along disposing of the early pace foe by the quarter marker, had no answer when the winner stormed by outside switching back over to the incorrect lead when getting passed, tried to counter in deep stretch but could only finish up an easy second best on this day. STREET SAVANT had a good spot tucked in on the rail watching the engaged pair, was urged on for more at the three eighths pole but showing little response when regressing through the last bend, shifted to the three-path finding more and closed in belatedly inside foes in the last furlong to get the nod inside at the wire for the show award. MARIETTA BABE pressed the pace three wide on the first of two turns, ran alongside the frontrunner forcing the issue still outside down the back straight, chased in vain unable to go on with the leader by the five sixteenths pole, angled out four wide in the mix for a small share in upper stretch, was no match for the front duo who had it to themselves in the final furlong but lost the battle for the third place share at the finish line outside. BOBBAAY was away slowly trailing the group in the early going, moved outside to be a joint last down the backside, had little to offer going two wide throughout the far turn, shifted to the three-path trying to make a run but finished up greenly never switching leads while laying in outside of a couple of runners in the late drive while battling for the show award. GOLD DRAGON settled near the rear travelling on the fence, co-trailed inside another with the field paired up along the backside, saved ground around the far turn but was in last at the five sixteenths pole, made a brief spurt hugging the rail turning for home to get into contention for a piece of the prize in by mid-stretch but lacked a finishing kick inside of rivals in the late running.
