WAR STRATEGY was forwardly placed on the outside comfortably tracking the pacesetter down the backstretch, moved in outside going head-to-head up top at the three eighths pole, got a head in front by midturn, opened up when just shown the crop outside the pesky speed rival at the furlong pole and held sway at the wire for the win. SET was quickest out of the gate loose up top just off the rail in the beginning, was collared outside by the winner at the three-furlong marker, dug in tenaciously taking the shortest way around the bend, gave way up top shifting outside when the winner cleared off at the furlong pole but still stayed on winning the battle for the runners up share between horses at the finish line. LIGHT THE LAMP broke inwards on the start, had a good sport on the rail in the second flight keeping tabs on the lead duo throughout, was nudged alone measuring the front pair on the turn, shifted to the three path having aim on the top two in upper stretch and ran on willingly unable to threaten the winner in the last furlong but finishing up well enough outside to get the show award in a tight photo. DARK SCREEN had the rail while in midfield, was under a ride edging up saving all the ground on the bend by the quarter marker, skimmed the fence getting into contention inside rivals at the top of the stretch but needed more when unable to offer a finishing kick in deep stretch losing the three way duel inside for the place and show positions. MASSETO (GB) was bumped on the outside at the break, had the fence while near the rear down the backside, narrowed the gap on the bend two wide at the quarter pole, angled out off of runners five wide in mid-stretch and finished with good interest in the late going. URBAN LEGEND had runners on either side watching the front pair in the beginning, chased the contesting twosome while going two wide around the oval, moved out to the four path in upper stretch but wilted with a sixteenth of a mile still to run. FEARLESS SOLDIER was in no hurry seeing the field in the early stages, continued to lag behind a rapid pace around the oval, hugged the rail turning for home but could only manage to pass a couple of weary foes down the lane. FOXTROTANNA had the outside of another sitting in the middle of the pack, was isolated trying to close in on the front four rivals through the turn but making little progression and could not find more for the drive weakening in the final furlong. MENTEE settled on the outside close to the back, made no movement going three wide through the turn, angled to the four path but had little to give in the stretch running.
