Footnotes
WINCHESTER ROAD was away alertly outside having the early advantage, got to the rail up top by the half, rated kindly having a narrowing margin up top on the rail throughout the turn, shifted to the three path relinquishing the lead for a stride or two to the outside rival at the quarter regain control inside when set down at the three sixteenths marker and won going away impressively when crossing the finish line. D'ORO'S ROMANCE had the two path between foes being part of the tracking quartet down the backside, edged up two wide improving position between rivals at the three furlong pole, took closer order in the mix inside another behind the winner straightening out for the drive, could not threaten for the top spot with a furlong still to run but closed in belatedly in the last eighth of a mile to be a distant second best. ARRABBIATA had a slow start, rushed up between foes eager despite trying to be throttled down the the rider, moved in to pork pot the issue outside at the five furlong pole, hounded the pacesetter finally settling into a good rhythm outside around the turn, angled to the five path making a bid at the quarter pole getting a head in front briefly, could not match strides with the winner reaching for more ground by the three sixteenths marker and faded in the final furlong to get caught in the late going losing the second place share. ZAHARI had the three path being in tight getting checked slightly dropping back a touch coming up to the five eighths marker, made little headway three wide with rivals on each side in the turn running and could only finish up one paced down the lane to settle on the fringes in the end. LEGAL TEMPTRESS was off slowly, settled four deep on the outside tracking the lead duo with five eighths to go, kept pace but was going four wide throughout the bend while being ridden on to do so at the three furlong pole, moved out widest in the five path in upper stretch and failed to menace in the late drive. CANDY FACTORY was in the mix on the rail to begin, took back being reined in at the five eighths marker off the front two runners, saved ground but could not keep up to the contesting pair at the three eighths pole, skimmed the fence turning for home but folded inside horses by the furlong marker.
