Footnotes
LITTLE LOLA was forwardly placed on the rail tracking the contesting duo, dropped back a touch more on the fence in the turn running still well within striking distance of the lead trio at the three eighths pole, moved out five wide off the front three looming boldly at the quarter marker and determinedly dug in between horses coming on in the final furlong to get the neck down at the wire for the gutsy late closing win. TAP MY DESIRE was squeezed between horses on the break trailing in the early stages, started to come with a run lengthening stride three wide passing two inside runners at the half, swung out widest gathering more speed at the top of the stretch, drifted inwards for a brief moment, then got back on track outside having a clear run in the final furlong and charged home in the late going, made one final surge outside at the wire but was denied by the winner losing the head bob at the finish line. MIGHTY TANNER cleared and crossed over having the early advantage on the fence with three quarries still to run, had company along the outside by the five eighths pole, battled inside throughout the turn under a lively tempo, fended off the early speed foe bracing foe another challenger outside in upper stretch, put that other rival away by the furlong pole but could not find more for a third time unable to match strides with the top pair outside in deep stretch but still ran on solidly to be a clear third at the wire. HYMN TO HER was paired up with an outside foe on mid-division along the backside, made no progression on the rail at the midpoint of the bend,, shifted to the four path a quarter mile from home, darted to the issue from behind rivals getting clear two wide at the furlong pole and ran on willingly capturing a minor placing in the end. EL BARRIO broke in at the start, settled near the rear between horses down the backstretch and throughout the turn, shifted to the five path taking closer order in upper stretch, moved inside getting to the fence leaving the furlong pole looking for a seam and when clear late could only finish up evenly. CLEARWATER BEACH had a good spot in tandem with an inside rival keeping a close eye on the engaged twosome, sat all alone measuring the embattled duo around the oval, could not wait anymore gliding up the the leaders three wide at the five sixteenths pole, dueled outside in the four path at the top of the lane but could not offer a finishing kick and wilted between rivals in the final sixteenth. LORRAINE'S BEAUTY travelled close to the back on the inside, continued taking-trailed taking the shortest way around the bend, scraped paint turning for home and could only manage to pass tired outside runners in the final eighth of a mile. PRINCESS JADE settled on the outside of another sitting in mid-pack, narrowed the margin getting alongside the eventual winner bon the turn by the five sixteenths pi,e, moved out to the six path between foes in upper stretch but lacked a rally through the stretch drive. KINZIE GIRL broke outwards on the start, recouped quickly moving up to force the issue outside the leader by the three quarters pole, dueled outside throwing it down setting a quick pace around d the turn, was in the mix three wide between horses turning for home, had to be checked in tight losing its momentum coming up to the three sixteenths pole, folded by the furlong marker and was wrapped up in the late going.
