TWISTING PISTONS assumed command galloping along setting a soft pace unopposed down the backstretch, edged away improving the advantage with the rider quiet in the saddle at the quarter pole and under a well rationed out ride had more in the final furlong to hold off the closing in runner on the fence in the late stages. MCGILL broke in at the start, had a good spot tucked in behind the frontrunner down the back straight, was roused, inching up while taking the short way on the turn by the quarter pole, angled to the two path with aim on the leader in upper stretch and was gaining gradually inside on the rail late but could not get to the winner in time at the finish line. BRAVO KATE was quite content to sit just off the pacesetter outside down the backstretch, moved in to vie between horses up top at the three furlong pole, could not quicken with the frontrunner with a quarter mile remaining, shifted out three wide in upper stretch posing no threat to the lead duo by the furlong pole but dug in determinedly inside late to just hold for the third place share at the wire. MY CASH FACTOR broke a step slow on the start, improved between rivals pulling the rider closer a long the backside to force the pace outside three wide at the three eighths pole, kept pace still three wide outside the front pair around the turn, moved to the four path turning for home and ran on evenly outside but just came up short for the battle for show at the wire. CINNAMON BITS could see the field while between runners down the backside, had little progression with foes on each side throughout the oval, angled three wide at the top of the stretch and finished with interest, having a mild spurt late dueling for a minor role in deep stretch. MOVENTOTHECOUNTRY stalked close to the back inside rivals early on, could not improve between horses in the two path around the bend, moved to the rail fo the stretch drive but failed to menace in the late running. HOLIDAY ROSE broke inwards but was quickly straightened out on the start, settled four deep near the rear down the back straight, was holding her own taking the overland route going four wide outside foes on the turn, swung out widest in the six path straightening for home but had no finish to offer outside runners in the stretch run.
