AWESOME BEAT advanced four wide late up the backstretch and into the turn, was in contention outside foes leaving that bend, took a narrow lead at the top of the stretch, dueled inside a rival late and just held in a head-bobbing finish. EGBERT WHO raced between foes in the second flight early, eased back tracking off those rivals, moved out four wide nearing the quarter pole, made steady gains in the stretch dueling outside the winner late but just missed. FLIRTING WITH FIRE pressed from inside, took a narrow lead at the seven-sixteenths, was overtaken at the top of the stretch, came out a bit near mid-stretch to fight on, just saved third from. TIHO SRCE , who tracked inside the second flight, tipped out in upper stretch, was in striking distance between foes at that juncture, fought on but missed show. SEMPER LIBER broke awkwardly bumping a rival lightly, lacked early speed, was ridden along three furlongs out, came into upper stretch six wide, improved position. FINE STYLE was lightly bumped at the start, raced in behind foes in a bit tight while off the rail up the backstretch, moved out a bit for the drive, ran on evenly. PRINCE ALMASTY bumped a rival after the start, moved forward to pursue three wide between foes up the backstretch, continued outside rivals three wide on the turn, failed to rally. INTO DIAMONDS was urged at the start, forced the early pace outside two rivals, contended through the turn then dropped back and faded. POLITICAL WARFARE was bumped at the start, contended briefly between foes, dropped back leaving the backstretch and steadily retreated. ANDTHEOSCARGOESTO was in tight just after the start, lacked early speed racing near the inside, fanned six wide into upper stretch, was never near enough to threaten.
