Footnotes
SYMPATICO took back off the contesting pace shortly after leaving the gate to be near the rear having only a couple of rivals beaten by the half, began to come with a run lengthening stride three wide in midturn, swung out widest in the five path having aim on the leader turning for home and under a vigorous ride powered past at the sixteenth taking over control and drew off late to win going away crossing the finish line. TOO MANY AMYS was all by herself in the middle of the pack in the early stages, moved to the four path closing in running alongside the eventual winner in mid-stretch matching strides but could not carry on fighting up top inside in the final sixteenth while still finishing up better than the rest to be a clear second best. KINTYRE was forwardly placed in the mix up top on the inside in the early going, reined back taking off the contesting duo by the half, sat isolated in the third spot measuring the embattled pair around the bend, loomed a menacing presence three wide coming to the leader at the top of the stretch but needed more late being outkicked for the winners share in the final sixteenth of a mile while lasting at the wire for the show money. SPIRIT OF INDY broke with the field but quickly dropped back to have only the poor starter beaten in the backstretch running, saved ground around the turn but making little gain, started to make a mild rally two wide straightening out for the drive, darted to the rail still making ripen at the eighth po,e and finished up well enough to be a fringe player in the end. SIENNA AURA prompted the issue on the outside down the backstretch, battled outside for the lead around the oval with the rider sitting still, seized control from the frontrunner inside at the top of the stretch but had little to give Kate and yielded between runners in the final sixteenth of a mile. PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE was away sluggishly on the outside spotting the field down the back straightaway, travelled just off the fence two wide still at the rear through the turn, shifted to the three path in upper stretch and could only manage to pass the leg weary early leader who ran out of gas at the furlong pole. YOU SIGNED IT had a neck in front between horses in the early going, dueled on the rail going head to head with an outside foe around the bend, gave way arguing up top on the fence turning for home and had nothing left stopping inside rivals at the furlong marker.
