Footnotes
MRS D missed the break off a step slow trailing the field down the backside, started to gear into gear reaching for more ground three wide at the three eighths pole, had a full head of steam widest with clear run in the five path at the top of the stretch, steadily closed in picking up runners one by one through the stretch and with one final push surged past on the outside just before the wire for the late running victory. GO FOR LAUNCH broke inwards on the start, settled on the outside in midfield in the running down the backside, had the outside of another in the second flight around the bend, closed the gap on the dueling pair at the quarter pole, pounced in the four path in upper stretch seizing command when leaving the furlong marker, did not switch leads in the stretch drive and just got caught by the fast charging winner outside at the wire. SPEAKER'S SPEECH settled into a rhythm near the rear inside, was stuck behind runners at the quarter pole unable to commence a rally, angled out to the three path trying to find a lane, had no room to extend her stride darting inside coming to the furlong marker, finally got clear with a sixteenth to go but by then rivals had the jump on her and still finished up well enough to be a troubled third at the wire. ALLURA had the lead while well off the rail down the backside, battled on the fence under a lively tempo maintaining a slim margin up top around the oval, edged away in the two path from the early speed for at the top of the lane, relinquished the lead outside after the furlong pole and drifted inwards fading on the fence in the last sixteenth of a mile. LOU'S ROOM was forwardly place in the mix inside initially, took back being reined in off the contesting pair by the half, had the fence while running as a pair with a rival in the second flight around the bend, closed in having a chance shaving the corner at the top of the lane, shifted out losing her path and momentum with a sixteenth from the prize and could not get back into gear to pose a threat in the late going. EXCESSIF prompted the issue outside down the backstretch, dueled two wide outside the pacesetter on the turn, gave way fighting up front three wide in upper stretch and folded between runner in the last furlong.
