VICTORY ACHIEVED got away alertly but was allowed to settle dropping off the leaders, tracked those near the inside, moved out at the three-eighths, came past the five-sixteenths four wide, drifted out a bit in upper stretch taking the lead, edged away. NOBALS was up close stalking the leaders in behind, went three wide on the turn, kept on in the lane taking and then holding the place. WORKS FOR ME was well-positioned early then taken back nearing the five-eighths, raced inside on the turn at the back, came out four to five wide turning for home, kept on but missed second. ESSEX SERPENT made a swift early move outside foes to take the lead outside the nine-sixteenths and clear by the half, shifted in a bit on the turn dictating terms, had no extra in the lane. GAS ME UP was outsprinted early trailing the field, was outside foes on the turn three deep and fanned seven wide into upper stretch, needed more to threaten. WESTERN WHIRL moved quickly to take the early lead but was short-lived, continued to chase in behind the leader from off the rail on the turn, failed to rally. ISIVUNGUVUNGU (SAF) moved up a bit to near mid-pack heading into the turn racing off the rail, swung six wide into upper stretch, failed to rally.
