ARABIAN CROWN (FR) pressed the issue inside initially, was content to lead the leader go on with it midway through the first of two turns, sat just outside and off the frontrunner rating kindly down the backside under a dawdling pace, pulled the rider between foes at the five eighths marker wanting to run, glided effortlessly to the lead two wide outside at the half mile marker, opened up with ease at the three eighths pole, drifted out considerably from the two path in upper stretch having a commanding lead, remained well ahead of his closest pursuers while in the ten path with a furlong to go and kept on going with the rider staying busy in the late going comfortably getting the win at the wire. TAWNY PORT settled in midfield in the beginning, ran in tandem with an outside foe trailing the group along the backstretch, was relegated to last but started to commence a rally inside at the half mile marker, crept up progressing smartly saved all the ground around the far turn, shifted out to be in six path at the quarter marker and had a steady turn of foot in the stretch running to best the rest for the runners up share behind the overpowering winner. PURVIEW (GB) broke a step slow on the start, recovered to get to the rail in the second flight inside down the backstretch, waited to move poised behind the front three rivals at the half mile marker, was steadied at the seven sixteenths pole having little room behind unable to maneuver when the pacesetter started to back away, shifted out three wide outsider runners with five sixteenths to go trying to get back into gear, angled to the seven path chasing the winner in vain in mid-stretch and faded late finishing up all alone at the wire to be a troubled third. ANCIENT EGYPT (IRE) was paired up with another while outside watching the front pair, had the three path keeping tabs on the lead duo down the backstretch, was scrubbed on for more three wide chasing the winner who was opening up midway around the final bend, angled out to the five path in the hunt at the top of the lane and finished up evenly in the final furlong to settle on the fringes in the end. IL SICILIANO was a joint last outside to begin, improved on the outside to sit in mid-division along the back straight, was driven on but the lead quartet was getting away with three furlongs from the finish line, angled out to the seven path in upper stretch but could not get involved in the late running. DANCIN IN DA'NILE co-trailed on the inside, advanced outside rivals making a brief spurt getting into contention three deep at the five-furlong pole, was scrubbed for more but was regressing three wide around the far turn with the tempo quickening and could only manage to pass the leg weary frontrunner in the drive to the finish line. TOMASELLO was four wide having a slim advantage outside in the early going, shook loose getting to the fence setting a soft pace down the backstretch, had no answer when the winner sauntered outside taking the lead at half, came under a drive trying to just hold forward position by the three eighths marker, moved to the three path for the stretch run by had little left to offer and faltered inside runners by the furlong pole.
