Footnotes
ARMINO settled in midfield having the rail position, closed the gap on the fence by the half, was hard held patiently waiting on the final turn behind a wall of runners at the quarter marker, darted up the inside scraping paint at the eighth pole, took control with a sixteenth still to run and won going away at the wire. PROFESSOR RELOAD was situated on the outside in mid-division on the first turn, dropped back near the rear three deep stalking at the half, made a sharp move swooping around horses four wide midway on the far turn, poked his head in front five wide in upper stretch but needed more in the late running unable to fend off the winner inside in the last sixteenth of a mile. GLORIOUS REVENGE had a slim lead on the inside on the first turn, continued up front while shadowed on the outside down the back straight, edged clear from the early speed foe by the three furlong marker, was collared outside by a couple of rivals at the quarter pole, dug in stubbornly between horses until the eighth pole and faded late holding for the show money at the wire. HIGHLAND PEAK co-trailed on the inside for the first part of the race, improved having the rail through the far turn, shifted outside at the five sixteenths pole looking for running room, moved back in from the three path in upper stretch getting a clear lane on the fence by the furlong marker and finished with intent to garner a minor placing in the end. EARNING MY EARS had in the inside position tracking the front pair tossing its head, continued to be unsettled while behind the front two along the backside, was stuck behind a tiring runner while three wide at the quarter pole, had clear run in the four path turning for home but could only finish up one paced in the final furlong. ARRAKASTA IZAN shared the back outside another, tried to mount a rally three wide circling horses on the far turn, shifted out further five wide at the quarter marker still coming with a run, had a chance widest in the seven path for a piece of the prize outside rivals at the top of the stretch, could not continue the rally and stalled at the furlong pole. RUN MATTEO RUN was brushed on the inside at the start, tracked with runners on either side on the initial bend, settled into stride in the third flight outside foes down the backstretch, made a brief run outside from the three furlong pole to bid between rivals up front with a quarter mile from home, had little for the stretch run and folded four wide in upper stretch. GINGER'S HOLIDAY watched the front pair while travelling three wide on the first turn, kept a close eye outside foes on the lead duo down the backside, dropped back between horses at the seven sixteenths pole to see the field by midturn and could only pass a weary foe at the top of the lane. CARRICK ON STAGE broke out on the start, hounded the pace outside in the early stages, gave way up top at the three eighths pole, had little left retreating in the three path between horses with a quarter mile from home and emptied out five wide in upper stretch.
