Footnotes
SCUDERIA veered in getting bumped at the break, stalked ahead of only one runner on the first turn, closed the gap smartly at the half, had a sharp turn of foot three wide at the five sixteenths pole circling around runners quickly to seize control five wide at the top of the lane and drew off impressively in the final furlong running up the margin of victory at the finish line. PARADISE PERFECT prompted the pace on the outside in the beginning, hounded the leader still outside down the backstretch, tracked the embattled duo three wide on the last turn, moved out five wide in the conversation up top turning for home and closed belatedly late to best the rest for the runners share behind the dominant winner at the finish line. TRIP ACES had the lead on the rail on the first of two turns, edged away from the early outside foe at the half, braced for the new challenger inside soon afterwards, dueled outside never wavering through the last turn, still tried to fight on never getting a breather in the mix three wide in upper stretch, evened out by the furlong marker but did show grit to come back getting the nose down in a tight finish for the third place share at the wire. SLUGGERNAUT was squeezed between horses on the start, got to the rail keeping a close eye on the top two on the first turn, made an early move at the half darting inside runners, battled on the inside up top through the last turn, was no match for the overpowering winner at the top of the lane and faded in deep stretch having the rail to get edged out at the wire for the show money. SILENT STRIKE settled with runners on either side watching the front two early on, was nudged for more on the fence trying to keep pace inside rivals through the far turn, had a chance four wide for a piece of the prize straightening out for home but lacked a rally in the final furlong. BEACH FACTOR was unhurried trailing for the first half of this two-turn race, offered a mild run passing tiring rivals three wide at the five sixteenths pole, moved out to the four path at the top of the lane but could not play a factor in the stretch drive. POCKET SPEED broke outwards on the start, had trouble navigating the first turn going five wide while tracking the lead pair, galloped along three deep on the outside in the second flight along the backside, was urged for more but was going the wrong way between runners at the three furlong pole, emptied out two wide at the top of the stretch and cantered across the wire.
