Footnotes
PRINCE SHAMAN had a neck in front of three others in the early stages while in the three path, shook loose three furlongs from the wire, had company pressing the pace outside in midturn, remained up front with many rivals threatening two wide straightening out for the drive, kept finding more clinging on up top on the fence with a furlong to go and just prevailed inside in a three way blanket finish. HYPNOTIZM vied between horses in the two path, was taken a hold of letting the outside pacesetter clear off heading into the bend, was shuffled back for a moment on the fence at the five sixteenths pole, scraped paint coming on smartly being in the conversation at the top of stretch, shifted out two wide getting a clear lane with a furlong to go and charged home with earnest but was denied at the wire with the game frontrunner having just a little bit more to hold on for the win. MR BOND had the rail in the mix initially, dropped back letting outside foes go on with it at the half, travelled well in hand poised between runners two wide at the five sixteenths pole, angled out to the four path in the hunt at the head of the lane but could only run on gradually and did not have enough to threaten for the win late but still finished up well to garner a show award in the end. TOO FAB FOR YOU prompted the issue four deep in the beginning, was reined in tracking the lead pair outside at the half, moved in making a bid outside two wide at the midpoint of the turn, have the three path in the heat of battle between foes in upper stretch dueling the front end, but could not find more in the late going and idled with rivals on either side in deep stretch. WE THE NORTH tossed his head up at the start, travelled three deep in the last place position in the early going outside, started to make a good run advancing three wide around horses midway through the turn, , swung out widest in the five path in with a chance for piece of the prize turning for home, ran on greenly with his head cocked staying on the incorrect lead in mid-stretch and stalled in the final furlong. CELEBRATOR had the rail position part of the threesome at the back, took the short way around the bend making little progress and lacked a rally just off the rail in the stretch drive. DANISH AUTHORITY shared the rear with runners on both sides down the backstretch, was relegated to solo last at the three eighths pole unable to keep up to the group, made no gain around the oval and could not get involved in the stretch running.
