FIRECRACKER FIONA cleared from the outer post to have an uncontested lead just off the fence down the backside, rolled along moving well within herself edging away by the quarter pole, opened up under mild urging with a furlong still to run and comfortably came home for the frontrunning score. TOTALLY IN CHARGE had an inside stalking position after the break, shared the rear with an outside for having a half mile still to run, began to reach for more ground in the two path inside rivals midway on the oval, shifted to the four path coming with a good run in upper stretch, switched leads late with a sixteenth remaining and found more to best the rest for the runners up share at the finish. ZIPFIRE had a tracking spot between rivals along the backstretch, was nudged along edging up for the second position with runners on either side at the quarter pole, moved out to the three path battling for the place share between foes and finished up willingly to win the show award at the wire. ROOKIE COURT was nestled on the rail drafting being the pacesetter, saved ground chasing the frontrunner but to no avail around the bend, was no match for the winner who was long gone by the furlong marker and was outkicked by a couple of outside foes dueling for the secondary share in the final sixteenth of a mile. MISTY EYED broke a step slow to be at the rear after the start, co-trailed on the outside at the half, travelled four wide outside horses lagging behind throughout the turn, swung out widest in the six path for the drive and could only pick up a weary foe in deep stretch. SAVE THE DATE settled in midfield going three deep outside of runners along the backside, was scrubbed for more three wide at the five sixteenths pole making little headway through the turn, angled to the five path turning for home but came up empty in the late running.
